After a couple year's hiatus it's finally time to properly celebrate the birth of the Halifax-Dartmouth area. August 1st is also the second year the Province of Nova Scotia officially recognizes Emancipation Day, where we celebrate the anniversary of the abolition of slavery in the British Empire.
