1. Downtown Dartmouth Ice Festival

January 27th-29th | Downtown dartmouth

The 2023 Downtown Dartmouth Ice Festival is back again this year for another exciting three days of ice sculptures, live music and Winter fun!

It all starts on Friday, January 27th with an Ice Carving Workshop at 9am. Celebrated ice carver Richard Chaisson will be holding the workshop right outside of Alderney Landing. If you're interested in attending the workshop, the festival asks that you let them know through this Google Form.

If there's one thing Downtown Dartmouth knows, it's how to throw a good street party! The Saturday during the festival (January 28th),  Portland Street between Alderney Drive and Victoria Road will be closed to vehicular traffic from 11am-6pm for an ice festival street party! There'll be live ice carving all over the Downtown, live music at multiple businesses, and Luminosity Circus will perform 3 exciting fire performances at 7pm, 8pm and 9pm at Alderney Landing.

Make sure to check out the Ice Festival edition of the Light Up Downtown Dartmouth Projection Show on the Old Post Office, showing nightly from 5pm-10pm until January 31st!
