In the words of Stompin Tom Connors, “the good ole hockey game, it’s the best game you can name”. Names that go with hockey go with Cole Harbour are Sidney Crosby and Nathan MacKinnon, they both hail from this beautiful community. Yes hockey is a big, big part of the culture throughout all of Nova Scotia but nowhere has more home grown talent come out than in Cole Harbour.

Not only did Cole Harbour produce some big names in hockey, but also in the entertainment business. The creator/director of the Trailer Park Boys as well as two of its main characters are from Cole Harbour.

There are ample public schools, French Immersion and English, but there is one that has that young athlete in mind, Honing in on the skills and academic programming for your future hockey star.

Many recreational facilities are scattered throughout the area from an outdoor pool and tennis court complex, to the Cole Harbour Place Rec. centre, along with many other community associations. The transit system is prevalent with multiple transit bus locations taking you to your destination in a safe environment. Many routes are accessible by car and you can be in Downtown Dartmouth in 20 minutes or Halifax in 30.
