CONTINUED...Many of the original homes were demolished along School Avenue’s southern side to make way for the bicentennial highway in the 1960’s which upon completion of the entire project links Halifax to just north of Truro. During the decade between 1960 and 1970 Fairview developed into a shopping haven and is adjacent to Clayton Park. A rebirth of the village started to take place in the late 1990’s and was well underway in 2013 where construction of new prime apartment style condos began to immerge on Dutch village road, this being added to the already diverse housing elements that already existed. Fairview continues to evolve.
