Dreaming of the Bed & Breakfast that isn’t just about breakfast? Try this 150 years Old Heritage Property called the Garrison House Inn. The Inn overlooks the spectacular 20 acre Fort Anne National Historic Site with its grassy ramparts, walking trails and stunning views of the Annapolis Basin at sunset. One only must walk along the parapets and breathe in the salty air to imagine the tall ships appearing on the horizon. 7 days a week during the summer in the evening the Garrison graveyard has a candlelight tour where you are guided through history exploring the lives of those who lived and died in Annapolis Royal hundreds of years ago. It is the oldest British graveyard in Canada and the tour is led by an Acadian historian dressed in period costume complete with top hat and mourning scarf. Each guest is given an antique lantern to carry and it is a common sight from the Garrison House dining room to see the soft light from the candles shining through the mist, as the tour winds its way through the historic site. The Garrison House Inn can cater to up to 70 people when all 3 dining rooms are in use (attention wedding parties!!!) or simply run on a slower schedule with lunches on the Screened Veranda and Dinner by reservation in the discreet Bar/Dinning Room. This B&B offers the potential to do more restaurant business or add rooms with the modification of the dining rooms depending on what you are passionate about. Presently operated as a 7 rooms B&B the rear parking can park 10 cars (allowing for guests and staff parking) and there is a private bachelor suite at the rear for owner occupied or usage as main office. Rare properties such as the Garrison House Inn don’t come to market very often!
