On a cold November morning we walked the land "I used to take groups on trail rides to the beach." The fine gravel roads, over a mile of them, open onto a huge 2-acre pond. Fenced pastures surround us "I had over a thousand geese here last week." He points to the woodland. "A fellah can cut 180 cord of wood a year and sell for $250/cord." We walk back to the stables, barns, workshop, and log cabin. "Twenty years of hand work. Those two fields took me 72 days from dawn to dusk clearing rocks." The equestrian centre dream still awaits with over $100,000 of machinery included more gravel for roads, more lumber, everything. The land is beautiful, even on a grey November day. So is the dream.
