A Night at Alderney Landing's Haunted Mansion

Hey everyone, welcome back for another edition of Parker’s Perspective! This time I had the chance to explore the Haunted Mansion at Alderney Landing, and oh my skeletons it was terrifying!!!
When we first got there, we had to stand in a line to buy our tickets. It was really hard to be patient because I couldn’t wait to experience what was inside the gates. I could see lots of flashing lights, I could hear the sounds of screaming and the unmistakable sound of a chainsaw! When we were finally invited in I was NOT prepared for what I had gotten myself into!
As soon as the door opened, we were in a different world. The place was decorated pretty well. The atmosphere and actors made you feel like you were really in another time and place. I don’t want to go into too much detail here, because I don’t want to give it all away and ruin your fun, but I do think it is important to mention that if you scare easily or if flashing lights bother you, going through this Haunted Mansion might not be a good choice for you.
When we came out of the Haunted House there were lot’s of fun places you could take pictures, including a guillotine and an awesome throne made out of knives! Another cool experience you can choose to do is the Buried Alive coffin ride. You lay down in a real coffin. They shut the top and everything goes pitch black, then the sounds and movement begins. The story takes you to a graveyard where you get buried alive, but then something strange happens… If you don’t like tight spaces, I would avoid this ride, but if you would like to give it a try, just ask the operator to give you the stop button to take in the coffin with you. That way you get to decide when the ride is over.
Thanks for checking out this edition of Parker’s Perspective, next time I’ll visit Peggy’s Cove. Until then, watch out for killer clowns!
