Parker & his mom at Queensland Beach after Hurricane FionaThe Aftermath of Hurricane Fiona

Sooooo I don't have any power right now, how about you? Hurricane Fiona came to visit, and she was very angry! Most of Nova Scotia is in the dark right now. There were up to 415,000 people without power, We're all busy cleaning up the mess Fiona made. There are lots of fallen trees and messed up powerlines. I saw a bunch of Nova Scotia Power trucks ready to get to work fixing up our province. There were also power trucks that travelled all the way from Maine, Quebec and New Brunswick to help.

Since I didn't have any Wi-Fi this morning, I took the opportunity to hang out with my parents...desperate times!!! Seriously though, I actually had a lot of fun. We went to Queensland beach in Hubbard's and we weren't the only ones who went to go check out the waves. It was cold and beautiful. You could hear the waves crashing against the beach. The wind was strong and blew the sand around making it feel a little bit like a snow storm. I kept wondering what it would have looked like right in the middle of the hurricane.

My mother an I are heading out on a neighbourhood walk in a little bit to check out the area. Wish us luck! Maybe the power will be back on when we get home...a young man can dream can't he?
