St Margaret's Bay Community
St. Margaret's Bay is perfect for exploring. The hiking trails are some of the best in Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM). There are lots of trails, whether you like to walk, hike, bike or even use an ATV. Some amenities are close by with two major grocery chains located in Tantallon. Medical facilities are nearby. There is a library and the St Margaret's Centre us located in Tantallon as well. This community centre houses two rinks, meeting rooms, a dance school, outdoor pool and a skating club. Tantallon itself is really the hub for most of the things you will need but there are also lots of places to stop for convenience. There are several lovely, locally owned restaurants located along the Peggy's Cove Loop. It truly is a sigh to see. Driving along the coastline will soon be your favourite time for day when you move to this area. If you love the beach, this is the perfect area to find your favourite spot! The south shore has many beaches and the will all be close by.
The housing in this area is a mix of older and newer homes, You won't find any apartment or condo buildings here. Large wooded lots are the norm in this are with plenty of space for gardens, fire pits and much more. Most are an acre or more. There is no municipal water or sewage systems so you will be using well water and septic systems.
