Sackville

Sackville was originally settled in 1749 as a military fort supporting the nearby town of Halifax. It is one of the fastest growing communities in Nova Scotia with its mix of residential and commercial developments. It is perfectly situated in terms of its location to both Halifax and Dartmouth and its easy access to highways and the Stanfield International Airport.

Many of the original neighbourhoods in Sackville grew up in the early 1970’s when buying land and houses was cheaper than in Halifax and Dartmouth. It is an easy commute into Halifax for work and recreation either using the Halifax Transit system or the various roads connecting the cities.

The housing in Sackville is a combination of single family housing, duplexes and apartments. Many of the neighbourhoods consist of local schools, recreation, dining, sports facilities and small shopping malls.
