The water is deep and navigable in the channel and leads in and around Second Peninsula, Heckmans Island, Blue Rocks and/or you may venture beyond to the Islands and waters of Mahone Bay. If you are either on a boat or in a kayak, you will definitely enjoy the beautiful and unique scenery of the local countryside. These boat shacks have seen better days but do sit anchored to the lands of Lunenburg`s Back Harbour and could be renovated and/or rebuilt to accommodate something more substantial for whatever your use may be. There is potential to construct your own dock with a 4ft at low tide or just feet from away is the public launch at the Sawpit Park and Wharf.
