Prospect
Prospect-Prospect Bay is the peninsula located south of highway 333 and is surrounded by Shad Bay on the west, Prospect Bay on the east and the Atlantic Ocean directly south of it shores. The original inhabitants were based around the fishing available in the vast waters surrounding this large area. In 1754 Fishermen of Irish and English descent settled in the villages along the peninsula. Prospect village is comprised of small modestly priced acreage lots to develop and build the home of your dreams as well as established homesteads. The proximity to water is vast as most homes are located on the main thorough fares and along the perimeter of the shore. The High Head Trail is a scenic intermediate hike that starts at Hages Lane and treks along the coast to Indian Point Road. The commute to Halifax is approximately 33 minutes, 48 minutes to Dartmouth Crossing and 24 minutes to the amenities of Bayers Lake by automobile, bussing is not directly accessible.
