Who doesn't love breakfast for dinner?

Pancakes have always been one of my favourite foods, so naturally any day dedicated to having them for dinner is also my favourite!

Growing up Catholic I knew it as Shrove Tuesday, but you may know it by one of its other names: Fat Tuesday, Mardis Gras, or simply, Pancake Day. It falls on the Tuesday before Ash Wednesday, which is the first day of Lent, a period of fasting and abstinence that lasts for 40 days and ends with Easter. In cultures where it is called Mardis Gras or Fat Tuesday it marks the final day of Carnival and your last day of "fat eating" before Lent.
