Natal Day festivities begin in HRM this Friday, August 2, 2019 and continue all weekend! So if you're looking to have some fun this weekend, you won't have to go very far!

Saturday August 3, 2019
11th Annual Mother Goose Festival
Gather the kiddos and meet Little Bo Peep and her real sheep at the Dartmouth Ferry Terminal Park for this free event! You will also find Mother Goose along with your favourite nursery rhyme animals. There will be dancing, treasure finding, singing and much more. From 10:00am-1:00pm Presented by the Dartmouth Kiwanis Club
The Mayor & Council Garden Party
Come see the Halifax Public Gardens like you've never seen it before. There will be live music, living statutes, children's activities, Milo T. Clown and birthday cake and refreshments (while they last). What's a garden party with out a little tea party mixed in?!? Oh, there's one of those too! After you've finished your afternoon tea with the Mayor and Councillors, start looking for Elmo & Cookie Monster who are reportedly making an appearance! From 1:00pm-5:00pm at the Halifax Public Gardens. Presented by The Canadian Federation of Musicians, Southwest Properties and the Spring Garden Area Business Association.
The Halifax Harbour Barge Fireworks
A spectacular way to end the day! You can view these fireworks from either side of the harbour because they are set off from a barge in the middle of the harbour! 10:00pm

Natal Day Family Party
Bouncy castles, face painting and mascots, OH MY! There is lots of fun to be had on Sunday at the Halifax Commons. Join some of your favourite mascots and characters for an afternoon filled with entertainment for all ages! 1:00 pm to 7:00pm at the Halifax South Common.
The Sounds of ANSMA presented by The African Nova Scotian Music Association & The Freedom Festival featuring Gospel, R&B, RAP & Jazz Artists
At the same time as the Family Party, the Amazing sounds of ANSMA & The Freedom Festival will be there giving your ears a real treat! 12:00pm - 9:00 on the Halifax South Commons
Natal Day Halifax Common Family Fireworks
Another show to end the day with a BANG!! You don't even need to leave the Halifax Commons at all this day except to run home and get your lawn chairs for this set of fantastic family fireworks! This firework display will be low level and totally exciting! 9:30pm at the Halifax South Common

CFB Halifax FREE Pancake Breakfast
Did someone say free pancakes? Join the men & women of CFB Halifax as they cook their famous Natal Day Pancakes!!! (Free Pancakes served until 10:00 a.m. while quantities last). There will be entertainment from the performers of the Halifax International Busker Festival including Jennifer Jupiter, Break City and Rhythm Works. Another appearance from Milo T. Clown is on the morning agenda along with activities for kids and live music! 8:00am-12:00pm at The Hydrostone
The 124th Pepsi Natal Day Parade
Once you've had your fill of pancakes and Busker entertainment, hop on over to the Dartmouth side and enjoy the Natal Day Parade! Who doesn't love a good parade? You can find the parade map at www.natalday.org. 10:30am - 11:30am Starting on Windmill Road at Lyle Street
Dingle Beach Natal Day Party or Sullivan’s Pond Family Fun Day
You can either head back over to the Halifax side to partake in the Natal Day Beach Party at The Dingle or you can stay over on the Dartmouth side and head over to Sullivan's Pond for their Family Fun Day! Either one will be sure to get your afternoon going in the right direction. The beach party will feature DJ music, games & activities. You will even be able to catch the kids live cirque show and more plus a visit from Elmo and Cookie Monster. Over at the pond there will be live entertainment, train rides, bouncy castles and free children’s activities. Beach Party 1:00pm - 4:00pm at Sir Sanford Fleming Park and Family Fun Day 12:00pm - 4:30pm at Sullivan's Pond
The Mayor & Council Garden Party
If you've decided to stay on the Dartmouth side of HRM and you missed the Halifax Garden Party, you can spend the afternoon with Mayor Savage and and some of HRM's Councillors at Sullivan's Pond! Free refreshments and birthday cake served. 1:30pm - 2:30pm at Sullivan's Pond
124th Lake Banook Fireworks
The FINAL event!!! Take all in all the beauty Lake Banook has to offer and finish your Natal Day long weekend off with a HUGE BANG! The fireworks will be set off from Birchcove Beach. 9:45pm at Lake Banook
