So let’s get real… how are you? Are you doing ok with social distancing? Are you going out of your mind with boredom yet? Well, I have some good news for you! Spring has arrived today and we now have something positive to brighten our days, literally! Days are staying brighter for longer and the temps are slowly rising. Do you know what that means? It’s SPRING CLEANING time! There’s nothing that makes me feel happiness at home like a clean and organized house. That fresh feeling I get from clearing out all the unwanted energy and stale air from the winter is just so satisfying. I mean don’t get me wrong, I like winter (no I do not) but there is just something about the earth being re-born after freezing for so long that really gets me in the feels.

In my quest for all the knowledge about all the things, I came across some feng shui info that I thought made a lot of sense. It basically said that if you feel as though you have had a bad year in (2019) you should start cleaning from the most inner part of your house and work your way out to the main door. This helps to remove all the negative energy that has filled your home throughout the year. Now on the other hand, if you feel as though you have had a good year, you should start to clean from your main entrance and work your way inwards. This will help keep that good energy surrounding you in your home for this year to come. Now if you don’t believe in feng shiu or bad and good energy that probably sounds like a whole lot of poppycock! But hey, it wouldn’t hurt to try it out!

With everything that is going on in the world right now, deep cleaning your house may be exactly what you need. There’s no better time to get started than now…. all this free time we never had before can be put to good use! Ok, ok… I’ll move on to the reason you a reading this to begin with ;P… A room to room guide for you to follow for Spring cleaning your home! I’m also going to include any tips that I have some across in the infinite years I have been on this earth (ha). *All these checklists are available for download and printing!  So there you have it. I plan on doing one room a day when I have the time. I wouldn't suggest doing these all in one day unless you're really ambitious and have too much time on your hands!

Do you have any cleaning tips you would like to share? Drop them in the comments and we will post them!

Good luck with all your cleaning and self isolation. Just remember, we are all in the same boat. Lets commiserate together :)
