Summer is finally here and Halifax knows how to do it right. Lots of exciting festivals and events that can be enjoyed by all ages are happening this month. Take in some tunes at the Halifax Jazz Festival, celebrate the 2SLGBTQ+ Community at Halifax Pride and connect with the diverse cultures of Nova Scotia at Nova Multifest; there's something for everyone! Halifax Mural Festival

Last summer, the first ever Halifax Mural Festival brought 22 artists from across the country to Halifax to beautify our city. Tons of unique new murals were painted along Quinpool Road and on the Halifax Waterfront and are now enjoyed by passerby all year long. It's all happening again this year with new artists and new events throughout the week-long festival.
The festival will begin with an Opening Day Skate Jam at the Halifax Common Skatepark with Pro Skates and Redbull. You'll be able to enjoy samples, music, and watch live painting. Throughout the week there'll be artist talks and a club night. It'll all end with a Big Reveal Day on Quinpool, where there'll be lots of fun activities for the whole family! Halifax Jazz Festival

Halifax Jazz Festival is one of Halifax's signature Summer Festivals and is widely anticipated every year. The festival is five full days celebrating Jazz music, combining ticketed shows and FREE performances for locals and tourists alike to enjoy. This year's headliners includes the likes of Shaggy, Sudan Archives, Jenn Grant and Fleet Foxes.
The whole family will love taking in free shows at the TD Main Stage in Salter Lot, Hydrostone Park, Ferry Terminal Park and free Jazz Labs at multiple Halifax Public Libraries locations. View the full festival program online here.
North American Indigenous Games

The North American Indigenous Games are finally making it to Halifax! After a disappointing cancellation in 2020 due to the pandemic, this Summer over 5,000 Indigenous athletes from over 756 Indigenous Nations are making their way to Halifax/Kjipuktuk to compete in the games. There will be competitions in 16 sports and everyone is invited to attend, cheer on the athletes, and watch some great sports.
A Cultural Village with free events open to the public will take place on the Halifax Common throughout the festival. There'll be cultural demonstrations, a marketplace and live music every evening! Cultural performances, demonstrations, and vendors will also be featured on the Halifax Waterfront and Dartmouth Crossing throughout the festival! View the full schedule of events at Naig2023.com.
Halifax Pride

Halifax Pride is another one of Halifax's signature summer festivals, bringing the city to life every year with live performances, artisan markets, storytelling circles and of course, a Pride Parade! Once available, the full schedule of events will be on HalifaxPride.com.
Nova MultiFest

Nova MultiFesti is an annual, FREE celebration of the diverse cultures that make up our province. Every year the community gathers in the Alderney Landing parking lot for a weekend of exploring different cultures through song and dance! The 2023 performance schedule will be available soon on MultiFestNS.ca.
